Just photoshop it

It's nice from time to time play around in Photoshop a bit more. Especially when you get good results. Take a look at my photoshoped photos of the day for 25th and 26th of September.

Shoot the hoop

Wouldn't it be great to merge two hobbies into a profession? For me it would mean to be a NBA photographer! J.A. Adande from ESPN had a chance to go shot-for-shot with one of the best NBA photographers - Andrew Bernstein. Really interesting for NBA fans and/or sport photographers.

Buying a used DSLR camera?

And the seller tells you it's in a mint condition, used just couple of times on family events and holidays. Yeah, right...

There's a great free aplication called Opanda IEXIF thanks to which you'll check some details about taken photo like used camera, shutter speed, ISO etc. In this case the most important information is "Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera" which of course shows how many photos have been taken using this camera.

How does it work?
Just take a photo using jpg format. Ensure to use JPG format in your camera, it can't be a JPG from a RAW file. Run application, open photo and you'll get all information.

Photoshop Top 40

A year ago Lynda.com started very nice video series called "Photoshop Top 40". They released 40 videos with the best Photoshop features ranked from 1 to 40. Some of them are well known but it's really worth watching to refresh your memory and learn something new! Below I placed an introduction so see yourself.

Nikon D7000 promotional video

Is it only my impression that new Nikon D7000 promo looks like mid 90s TV shopping commercial? :-)

Nikon D7000

Yesterday new Nikon D7000 has been announced. Looks like it's going to be a really good camera. I was thinking about buying Nikon D300s but now I'll hold on for a while, wait for some reviews and then decide.

I'm back!

Oh, didn't I mention I was going somewhere? Well, it's only a long weekend in Poland which was great but unfortunately I had to leave my camera back home, so no photos for the next 7 days :/ Sorry guys, I know it wont be an easy thing to live with but I promise, I'll catch up :)

So in the next couple of days I'll write something about gear, maybe some Photoshop tips etc... we will see.

Another thing I wanted to do is to share some photos I took in the past. So today few shoots I especially like. Take a look at the Howth boat :-)
